The negative fac- tion spiraling out of control (as usual), that's what. We have a newly elected councilperson, Pat Workman who has not attended (required) League of Cit- ies and Towns training sessions and I've heard, probably won't. Unfortu- nately, her severe lack of municipal education is sorely showing. In at- tending two Council business meetings recently, it is clearly evident Pat does not know what she is doing. Pat Work- man tries to discuss subjects either that are not on the agenda or trying to carry on with items already voted on which are in violation of Open Meeting Law. She has spoken negatively about Quartzsite on a Phoenix television in- terview along with her motley crew. www.DesertMessenger.com this she should be censured and more. Representing a municipality when not authorized to do so is serious business. Her sworn duty is to perform knowl- edgeably and professionally, to uphold the law, and not to single out certain people she disagrees with. Personal dislikes, attacks and vendettas must not and cannot be done by a municipal offi cial. resort to name-calling as she does, is running for District #3 Supervisor. She lost her previous attempts for Councilperson and Mayor. As I wrote earlier in this piece, professionalism and a forthright attitude for ALL of Quartzsite is resolute.
