SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON PAGE 3 Brothers from the '50s and '60s reflect on montana Beta John Ferro '58 says, "I enjoyed the interaction with my brothers. I made several friends while living at Montana Beta. In fact, six brothers were members of my wedding party. My life as a member of SAE while in college had a great influence throughout my life." John lives in Billings, Mont. E-mail: j.ferro384@yahoo.com Gary Fish '62 lives in Livingston, Mont., and fondly recalls working on the kitchen crew and Mrs. Yonce, the cook, who he says was a lovely lady and made marvelous pizza. "We would frequently put Tabasco sauce under the crust of a piece of pie and then waited for the battle to begin— usually a large water fight. I remember one of the waiters coming behind a member and, with scissors, cutting his tie in half. Hilarious!" E-mail: grizzfishes@wispwest.net George Scott '62 lives in Tucson, Ariz., and as a result of an outstanding experience says, "I have lifetime friends from this group!" E-mail: golfin39@msn.com Kenneth Lawrence '63 remembers the serenade that the brothers sang when he got pinned to Dianne Gee at the Delta Gamma chapter house in 1962. Kenneth lives in San Antonio, Texas. E-mail: col.lawrence@att.net Louis Garcia '64 is confident the best part of Montana Beta is the camaraderie, both as a chapter member and more than 50 years later. Performing in the singing group, Jubileers, with 10 ladies and 10 gentlemen, five of whom were Montana Betas, was a memory that tops the list. Louis lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. E-mail: louisjgarcia@aol.com Richard Ford '65 says, "I appreciate the lifelong friendships I made at Montana Beta. Fraternity is for life if you want it to be." Richard lives in Walnut Creek, Calif. E-mail: dickford94596@gmail.com Robert Haynam '65 lives in Moose, Wy., and remembers "flying our Golden Eagles with Jerry McGahan '65 on fall mornings overlooking the campus from Mt. Sentinel." E-mail: haynamr@hotmail.com Jerry Sepich '69 has great memories of living in the chapter house. He especially remembers the pranks, social events, and cold nights in Siberia, with multiple extension cords for electric blankets, which he jokes, "was surely a fire code violation!" His years on kitchen crew are remembered fondly and he says, "One disaster I recall was a monthly animal dinner, with no utensils. The cook was told to serve fried chicken with mashed potatoes. It took over six hours to clean up the dining hall!" Jerry lives in Pocatello, Idaho. E-mail: jjsepich@gmail.com Welcome, Fall New Members The fall 2016 member class bond after initiation.
