Peggy lives in Springfield, Ill., with her husband, William. Lois Doran Snead '42 is a widow and still living in her home in Washington, Va. She keeps active with her church and by volunteering. Lois has five children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. Gloria Anderson Pellom '47 happily reports that she celebrated her 90th birthday this year, but she doesn't feel that old! She is living in a retirement home in El Cajon, Calif. Gloria practices piano every morning and plays for groups in her retirement home. She has written and published four books on WWI, writes articles on the war for newspapers and websites and gives power point presentations on the foreign countries she has visited. Nancy also impersonates Bess Truman with her friend, who has played President Truman for 23 years. She is the president of a local Missouri retired teachers unit (MRTA). She is unable to attend alumnae meetings, but is glad to read Alpha Chi is improving its facility. Martha "Jo" Wiseman Strickler '53 enjoys retirement after 37 years of teaching. She volunteers at her church by knitting blankets and hats for newborn babies at the local hospital and making BackSnacks for Kansas City school students. Jo lives in Kansas City, Mo.
