Warren Township High School * Legacy; relative in parentheses 5 Alpha Chi Omega A lpha Nu enjoyed a successful recruitment in late August, easily achieving quota of 71 with 11 quota additions for a new member class of 82. New members are from 11 states with Illinois having the highest number (11) after Missouri (41). The new members are well- rounded Real. Strong. Women. The average high school GPA of the new member class is 3.7 and the average ACT score is 26. Service projects of the new members range from mission trips to tutoring to flood relief efforts. All either participated in high school sports and/or held leadership positions at school, church or other organizations. One new member, Leah Albietz '16, is a drag car racer with more than 30 National Hot Rod Association wins. Simone Esters '16 is the new feature twirler for Marching Mizzou. New members were welcomed with a theme of "Forever Golden—You Are Home." Average chapter size at Mizzou is now around 300. Approximately 1,550 young women registered for Primary Recruitment, down from about 1,890 in 2015. This reflects the smaller freshman class at Mizzou this year. The University of Missouri continues to evolve to "conversation-focused" recruitment, which means eliminating skits. This allowed more time for members to meet a greater number of potential members and have longer conversations. Potential members also attended two preference parties instead of three, as has been done in the past. Many thanks to the advisors and alumnae who provided guidance to the chapter, including Recruiting Advisor Patti Knopke Wagner '03, who was 33 weeks pregnant during recruitment, and Maggie Hallam '12, Rachel Taylor '10 and Chapter Advisor Jessi Caldera '03 who assisted.
