The Camp is celebrating their Tenth anniversary and their Eighth Annual Summer Basketball Camp. Coach Keith Rhodes will be continu- ing his relationship with the Hornets, Caroli- na Panthers, Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County and Cleveland, Rutherford and Gas- ton County kids during the Camp. "I believe that all students are capable of learning and will assist each camper with their individual learning capabilities. We will instruct campers in areas of basic shooting, passing, and defensive position, campers will participate in daily games and some scrimmages. I hope to provide quality camp instruction that campers fi nd both fun and competitive" said Rhodes. " We will also have several guest speakers stop by to speak to the campers." The mission of Camp Coach Rhodes is to teach and encourage students on the court and in the classroom. For the past seven years, Camp Coach Rhodes has provided an engaging opportunity for children to improve their basketball skills and have fun. Camp Coach Rhodes utilizes an intergenerational model to identify and develop the talents of all athletes. High school and college players assist in coaching the middle school and ele- mentary age campers, and semi-professional athletes and professional-level players men- tor beginners. During Camp Coach Rhodes, coaches and mentors spend time each day to help camp- ers hone skills in the areas of teamwork, com- munication, sportsmanship and academics. 2016 Camp Coach Rhodes will be July 20- 23, 2016 from Wed. through Fri. 6pm until 7pm and Saturday 9am until 11am.
