In 28 months, La Paz recorded 33 consults on strokes. La Paz Hospital joined the Telestroke network with Mayo in January 2009, funded by the Arizona Department of Health Ser- vices and the STARR study. The Rem- ington family gift will now help sus- tain the program in this community. According to Vickie Clark, CEO, "We know fi rst-hand that 'time is brain' and being a part of this program of- fers our remote county a life-saving connection to Mayo's neurologists and technology.
