Crest has won 26 games in a row, an all time school record, while Shelby has 15 wins in a row dating back to the fi nal game of the 2014 regular season when Crest won 21-13 • The Golden Lions rank #40 on the all time winning high school football programs in the nation according to MaxPreps • Championship/Playoff Notes: In the modern era, Shelby has been to the State Championship 11 times with a 7-4 record and since 1972 this marks their 32nd post season appearance. Crest has been to 9 State Championships with 4 of them in the past 5 years. They have 5 state titles in those appearances going back to 1994. This year marks their 29th postseason appearance since 1972. • Going into this year's game, both teams lead in every South Mtn. Athletic Conference Statistical Category: Shelby for overall total offense, leading passer (QB-Darquez Lee), and leading re- ceiver (Jayden Borders). Crest for overall defense and leading rusher (Tre Harbison).
