February 1, 2012 Thrift Store donates to schools Quartzsite Community Thrift Store donates to local schools Submitted by Joanne Winer The Quartzsite Community Thrift Store was again able to donate to some local organizations this month, and voted to give some funds to the Quartzsite Elementary School, The Scholars' Academy and the Li'l Schol- ars' Preschool. Volunteers and committee members welcomed Steve McClenning, Princi- pal of Scholars' Academy, and Jackie Price, Superintendent of Quartzsite School District to the thrift store to re- ceive their checks. The thrift store is very pleased to be able to help the children in the schools this way, and look forward to doing more giving as the funds are available. Thanks to the generous donations and customers who support the store, they will be able to help others who help our community. www.DesertMessenger.com Page 25 Annual Camp Bouse Bouse Chamber of Commerce pres- ents the 16th Annual WWII Camp Bouse Memorial, 11:00am February 11, 2012 at the monument site on Hwy. 72 in Bouse.
