WED. FEB. 1, 2012 Vol. 8 Issue #145 www.DesertMessenger.com Quartzsite, AZ- One of America's most unusual exhibits joins the RVing community in Quartzsite this season. The Redwood Log House came to Tyson Wells Shows in early January, and RVers are finding it fascinating. A fully fur- nished three room house hand carved inside a 1900 year old gi- ant California redwood tree. It took two men nearly a year to con- struct this beautiful home. The log "Quartzsite's FREE Community Paper" Redwood Log House on wheels - Mightiest RV in town house exhibit has been displayed at important events attracting mil- lions of people. James Adams and his wife, Jamie Allen carry on the tradition of offering people from across the county and desert dwell- ers the opportunity to experience the ancient redwood tree in Allen's Original Redwood Log House. Fifty nine years ago Jim Allen was fishing on the famed waters of the Klamath River in North- ern California. A sudden rain squall rose, and Allen sought shelter in a "goose- pen" tree...one of those for- est giants which fire had burnt nearly hollow some time in the past, but which still lived. A sudden thought struck him as he waited out the shower.
