YE OLD TIMERS MINERAL CLUB holds rock auction Quartzsite - The Ye Old Timers Mineral Club (YOTC) held their annual fundraising auction full of lots of incredible finds on January 19th. The social club is recognized by, but not sponsored by, the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. The first meeting was held in February 1941. Club members are from Germany, Eng- land, Canada, Australia, New Zealand as well as hundreds from the United States, including Alaska. The goal is to establish an opportunity for oldsters (50+ years of age) of the mineral, gem and fossil collect- ing hobby to communicate with others of like interests. Also to promote good fel- lowship through field trips, to support local shows and Federation shows. A $300 check was given to the Senior Center to help with their delicious lunch program. Another $300 check was given to Quartzsite Food Bank for the food baskets. DEADLINE is WED. Her online resume looks good, but she forgot to disclose that she currently works for Richard Oldham. Hmmm? She wants to be mayor and this requires her to enforce town codes and ordinances and yet she herself does not abide by them... She allegedly is operating an online business without a license. Sounds like someone else you know in town. Hmmm? Wake up voters!!! Do your homework. Vote responsibly!
