February 1, 2012 Fun at Art Guild's Art Show Quartzsite Art Guild invites you to join in the fun, 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month 6:30pm - 8:00 pm at the Quartzsite Senior Center on Moon Mountain Rd. Those who attended this year's Art Show on January 13th and 14th enjoyed not only 26 talented artist displays, hourly door prizes but a raffle of $50 cash coins. Awards designed by Mark Goldberg were given for Best of Show and 1st place to Dinice Ross and 1st runner up to JoAnn McKnight. The Art Guild and guests had the privilege of live music provided by the group "Rough Round the Edges", Rich- ard and Carol Gregg, with guest Sharon Lawyer. Lunch was provided by the Se- nior Center. A few dancing artists (Jodi, Marshia, & Lucy) helped make the event enjoyed by all. We're gearing up for next season's show events scheduled for December 7th, & 8th, 2012 as well as March 1st &2nd, 2013. The Guild would like to invite not only artists, but those just looking for new adventures to join in the activities planned. There are always things to do. Help is needed in the art club that may not be that of a painting. Cost is $5.00 to the Guild and $5.00 to join the Senior Center. Scheduled activities for the month of February are as follows: February 2nd, Watercolor card painting taught by Mary Huntley. February 16th, Bob Ross still painting demonstration. Classes will be offered for an addi- tional cost $30.00 with your supplies $45.00 when supplies are provided. NEED CASH? Jim Buys GOLD!
