Community Homeless Stand Down is July 24 and 25 The City's Community Development and Transit departments are participating in the Community Homeless Stand Down being held Thursday and Friday, July 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Festival Park. The park is located in Downtown Fayetteville at the corner of Rowan Street and Ray Avenue. The Community Homeless Stand Down, sponsored by the Cumberland County Continuum of Care on Homelessness and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, is designed to give the homeless citizens and veterans in Fayetteville and Cumberland County access to agencies and services that can help make a difference in their lives. Community Development collected donations and the Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) is providing transportation for the event.
