The Ladies Auxiliary of the Post will be going out to the cemetery at 6 a.m. to put wreaths on the tombs of the mil- itary personnel who are buried there, and if anyone wishes to help, it would really be appreciated. There will be two guest speakers for the service, and after the ceremony, the Post is hosting fi nger foods for every- one. If you would like to bring some- thing to this get together, it will also be very much appreciated. There will be no smoking at the post during this time, at least until after noon. Come on out to the service and honor those men and women who gave up their lives for our country, and help remember all the sacrifi ces that have been made to en- sure the freedoms we enjoy. ART GUILD NEWS Quartzsite- We had a lot of fun at Dinice’s art studio making marbled paper. It was very interesting and amazing how that works. Thursday, May 19, our next meeting will be at the Senior Center at 6:30pm and we will critique any art work you bring that you are working on and some of us will bring the marbled paper we made and then used for our artwork. The food bank is located on Moon Moun- tain, just north of the Senior Center Must have AZ ID and be from La Paz County to meet the income require- ments. Donations are needed and can be dropped off during business hours. When shopping, just pick up a can or two extra to help others. HI JOLLY CEMETERY NEWS The Hi Jolly Cemetery will be having a plant sale the 1st of October. They would like donations of plants in containers to help with this sale. Plants in containers can be dropped off at the Quartzsite Bakery (across the street from the General Store). Please put these containers under the large tree beside the Bakery and they will be kept watered during the summer - giving them a good start before October.
