ANY SIZE FROM Cruise In Anniversary Party huge success! photo by Starr BearCat By Joanne Winer The fi rst anniversary party to cele- brate the “cruise ins” that have been going on for the past year was held on Saturday, May 14th at the Town Park in Quartzsite. Over 150 people showed up, some of them bringing their antique or classic vehicles and lining them up around the pavilion, some just there to see what they were bringing. There was a great barbecue dinner available, and free door priz- es to those who had winning tickets. The event was held as a way of thanking the participants who have been bringing their vehicles to the Shell Station in Quartzsite to show them off since last July. This event has become very popular since it started and will continue every oth- er Saturday night as long as people come out for it. The next cruise in will be held at the Shell Station on May 28 starting at 6 p.m. Come on out and bring the whole family to see some great looking vehicles and have some fun! Organizers would like to thank the Shell Station, General Store, volun- teers who helped cook and serve, and the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce for all their help through- out the year as well as for helping make this event happen.
