Thank You, Generous Alumni The existing house at 2411 Longview has also been upgraded due to the generosity of our alumni. A new sport court was installed last summer as well as an iron fence to surround the property. Other improvements include a flagpole, new letters on the house, a new poker room, renovated kitchen and new furniture, all of which have made a positive impact on the brotherhood and would not have been possible without your support. Phi Psi Leaders on Campus We continue to be leaders on campus and in the Greek community by serving on IFC and having our members selected into Silver Spur and Texas Cowboy organizations. Our membership in such organizations has increased steadily and we are gaining momentum with each passing semester. With all the exciting progress being made, I would like to thank you for supporting our efforts in continuing the strong tradition of Texas Alpha Phi Psi. Texas Alpha Welcomes 50 New Members I am pleased to inform you that 50 outstanding young men were initiated into the chapter last year. They are reaping the benefits of a newly initiated alumni mentor program, started by Daniel Harvey '00 and Scholarship Chairman Spencer Saldana '12, as well as our continued scholarship efforts and free tutoring service offered to all brothers. Rush efforts have begun for the fall and we look forward to another large pledge class at the beginning of next semester. Weekly Event Sees Famous Faces Brotherhood participation and activity is at an all-time high. With an increased emphasis on brotherhood activity, the chapter has started a weekly Burgers and Band event that utilizes the yard at the new 2500 San Antonio Street property (Honors Townhomes). Mack Brown, Ricky Williams and Vince Young have all dropped by on various dates to join us. We are excited to continue this Friday afternoon event into the fall semester.
