TOPS summer schedule The Town of Quartzsite is gearing up to participate in this year's International Pay it Forward Day, with special cards. The goal is to inspire over 3 million random acts of kindness around the world. Imagine the difference that would make! You may be just one person in this world, but to one person, at one time, you are the world. Imagine if each individual looked for the opportunity to help others each day. Imagine the difference that would make. "If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one." Mother Teresa WHAT CAN YOU DO? • Can for kindness — collect non perishable food items to donate to those in need • Book giving — collect books and distribute to needy groups • Pay for someone's cup of coffee • Donate your professional services — free hour consultation, free hair cut, etc. • Get the next person's food, bus ticket, etc. • Help someone out in need • Open a door for someone • Give someone a smile • Tell someone to have a nice day • Donate your time • Be creative!!! Inspired by the movie 'Pay it Forward' starring Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt, Pay it Forward Day involves people performing random acts of kindness for others without expecting anything in return. Instead, recipients are instructed to 'pay the kindness forward' to others in need, essentially creating a positive ripple effect of giving. Good deeds can be as big or small as you would like to make it. The aim is to simply put a smile on someone else's face and feel good about what you've done for someone else. Pickup your cards at Town Hall. 465 N. Plymouth, Quartzsite. 928-927-4333. www.PayItForwardDay.com Pay it Forward Thursday, April 24
