Quartzsite GRANDS & Great GRANDS set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the Largest Human Letter! Organizers of The GRAND Gathering re- ported that 631 people participated Sun- day, March 9, 2014 during the GRAND Finale event, the Guinness Record At- tempt of the World's Largest Human Let- ter "Q" at Quartzsite Improvement Asso- ciation (QIA). Guinness told organizers they needed at least 501 participants to be considered for the record. The GRAND Gathering events were geared for GRAND Parents and Great GRANDS and their families to create memorable moments together. Verifi cation from Guinness arrived via email Monday, April 7th, 2014 which stated, "We are delighted to confi rm that you have successfully achieved a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for 'Largest human letter'. We would like to congratulate you on your record-break- ing achievement. You are OFFICIALLY AMAZING!" Guinness World Records certifi cation requires independent witnesses from the local community and extensive documen- tation. Horizon Community Bank's new manager, Judi Clark and Council Mem- ber Mark Orgeron served as offi cial wit- nesses along with 12 Stewards from the community. The GRAND Gathering sets new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for Largest Human Letter!
