The collaborative art exhibit, "Art Barnyard," by Red Bluff artists Ana Nelson and Phil Dynan features farm animals and local landscapes. New sculptural works by popu- lar Red Bluff eccentric sculptor Jay Murphy are featured in the exhibit. “We know all of these animals, which made this a very personal and enjoy- able project,” Nelson said. Some of the featured animals are a miniature donkey, neighbor’s pony, mammoth mule, llama, goats and sheep. All of them are painted large on canvas with acrylic paints. Local landscapes include the Paskenta area, Red Bluff, Rancho Tehama and even a spe- cific ranch on Boggs- Champlin Road — the Alvares ranch. Nelson and Dynan have been working together on collaborative art projects for 15 years. They often pass drawings and paintings back and forth, with each artist con- tributing to the work. “It is unusual for artists to be able to work togeth- er as well as we do,” Dynan said. “It works for us because we respect each other and appreciate that we have different skill sets that complement each other.” Reaction to the new Arts & entertainment Christian ballet group offers free performance Courtesy photo The Paradosi Ballet Company will perform "Commissioned," a Christmas Story, at 7 p.m. Friday at the Tehama Family Fitness Gym, 2498 S.
