Last seen on James Ave REWARD 200-5144 3A Recent State/Local Prison Commitments: Jose Luis Hernandez, With Weapon Removal with Special Allegation, Prior Strike, Battery With Injury on a Peace Officer(two counts) with Special Allegation Prior Strike. Officers responded to a residence regarding a disturbance and located the defendant hiding in a closet. When the officer ordered the defendant out of the closet he failed to comply and began fighting and punching the officers. The officers had to apply pepper spray and a taser to subdue the defendant and get him into custody. Sentenced to 5 years 4 months State Prison. Robert Alan Jones, Receiving Stolen Property with Special Allegation Prior Strike. Defendant walked into a store, grabbed a bottle of alcohol from the shelf and proceeded to exit the store without paying for the item. Officers contacted defendant and located the bottle of alcohol as well as several other stolen items in defendant's bag. Sentenced to 4 years State Prison. James Daniel Martin, Possession of Matter Depicting Minor Engaging in Sexual Conduct With a Prior Conviction with Special Allegation Prior Strike. Defendant's cell phone was located and found to have numerous photos of minors engaging in sexual conduct. Sentenced to 4 years State Prison. William Burnett Ripley, Driving While Having a 0.08% or Higher Blood Alcohol-Four Priors with Special Allegation Excess Blood Alcohol. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by defendant after he was observed driving recklessly. Upon contacting defendant the officer observed an odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. Defendant had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and was taken into custody. Sentenced to 3 years State Prison. Mark Lawrence Brewer, (NCR86687); HS11360(a)Transportation of Marijuana, Police reports Information has been provided by the Red Bluff and Corning police departments, Tehama County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, Red Bluff and Corning fire departments and CalFire. Arrests • Jose HernandezGarza, 18 and Francelia U Rios-Mendoza, 28, both of Kent, Wash. were arrested at South Main Street and Sutter for felony possession of narcotics with the purpose for sale, transportation of VC23152(b)-Driving While Having a 0.08% or Higher Blood Alcohol-Three Priors. Brief history: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by defendant. The defendant was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol over the legal limit and was subsequently taken into custody. During a search of his vehicle officers located several bags of marijuana in the trunk. Sentenced to 2 years 8 months Local Prison Nathan Richard Tolbert, Petty Theft With a Prior. Defendant was observed on a surveillance video stealing items from a business. Sentenced to 2 years State Prison. Vivian Marie Wright, Escape. Defendant was out of custody on an electronic monitoring device when officers received information that the device had been tampered with. The officers responded to the location and located the device laying on the ground with the straps cut. Sentenced to 2 years State Prison. Anthony Zachary Sanchez, Receiving Stolen Property. Defendant was originally granted formal probation. Defendant violated his probation when he failed to keep probation informed of his current contact information. Sentenced to 16 months State Prison. Randen Russell Knight, Evading an Officer, Willful Disregard, Unlawful Driving or Taking of a Vehicle. Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle and a short time later observed a vehicle matching the description. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle the defendant failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The defendant continued to drive recklessly until eventually crashing into a ditch and fleeing the scene on foot. Defendant was apprehended a short time later. Sentenced to 16 months State Prison. William John Carlton Jr., Escape, Aid By Misrepresentation. narcotics, transportation, transportation of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the purpose for sale. Bail for each was $1,250,000. • Manuel Jason Cruz aka Anthony Garcia, 41, Cottonwood was arrested for felony inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. bail was $50,000. • Ashley Elizabeth Lakey, 23, Red Bluff was arrested on outstanding charges of felony second degree burglary, making a fictitious check and misdemeanors of failure to appear, Defendant was out of custody with an electronic ankle monitor when he tested positive for methamphetamine. Defendant then cut off his ankle monitor and fled. Defendant was receiving cash aid and food stamps from the county for two children when the children were not living in his residence. Sentenced to 16 months State Prison for Escape, 8 months State Prison for Aid By Misrepresentation. Recent County Jail Commitments: Gustavo Mejia, Attempted Car Jacking, Assault With a Deadly Weapon. Victim was driving his vehicle when he passed by the defendant and companion walking along the street. The victim observed the defendant make an obscene gesture towards him and subsequently heard something hit his vehicle. When the victim stopped and got out of his vehicle the defendant approached the victim. The victim reached for a baseball bat at which point the defendant pulled out a knife and punctured the tires on the vehicle before fleeing the scene. Sentenced to 270 days county jail. Christopher Charles Huber, First Degree Residential Burglary. Defendant entered victim's residence while no one was home and stole several items. Sentenced to 270 days county jail. Somphone Bouaphakeo, Maintaining Place For Selling or Using Controlled Substance. Agents served a search warrant at defendant's residence and located marijuana plants and firearms. Sentenced to 120 days county jail. Ashley Renee Reynolds, Maintaining Place For Selling or Using Controlled Substance. Officers conducted a search of a residence where defendant had been staying. Inside the residence officers located methamphetamine smoking pipes and methamphetamine. Sentenced to 90 days county jail. a probation violation and theft. Bail was $35,000. • Helen Elizabetta Sparks, 33, Red Bluff was arrested on Potter Street for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor paraphernalia. Bail was $18,000. Burglary • A 43-year-old woman on the 16000 block of Skyline Drive in Red Bluff reported she had been away from her residence since Aug. 3. When she returned Thursday she found someone had entered through an unsecured window at the rear of the home. The house was ransacked and three handguns, a rifle, a shotgun and a Sony Playstation 3 were taken. Theft • A pair of chainsaws was reported stolen within the past week from a yard on the 22000 block of Flournoy Avenue. • Two bicycles were stolen at Meadow Vista Apartments. • A white and hot pink Juicy Coutre purse with medication inside was reported stolen at the Crystal Apartments.
