WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM DECEMBER 7 - 13, 2022 UCW 3 DECEMBER 17 NO LIT SHERLOCK FAYETTEVILLE PIE COMPANY Mystery, theatre, booze, and Shake- speare combine as everyone's fa- vorite detectives get Sweet Tea's LIT treatment for the first time. A drunken, hilarious, cheeky take on some of literature's most beloved characters. Sherlock and Watson are trying to solve a crime so classic you might call it Shakespearean, but they stop for a few drinks along the way. Will you join them for a night of mystery and absurdity, coupled with great music, drinking games, audience participation, improv, and not a few laughs? Elementary, my dear! Sweet Tea Shakespeare aims to make Shakespeare and other classic stories more accessible to everyone, and what better way to do that than by performing one of these famous works while encouraging the audience to drink along? They suggest LIT shows be for adults, as they blend stripped-down Shakespeare plays with improv, games, and a relaxed, pub-like environment. Tickets are $22 for adults and $19 for military and Gold Star families and can be bought at sweeteashakespeare.com VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS TOURS 1897 POE HOUSE Join costumed museum docents on a very special guided tour of 1897 Poe House this holiday season.
