10 WHAT'S UP! AUGUST 14-20, 2022 LIVE! A MUSIC CALENDAR Incubus, Sublime And The Aquadolls This Week At The AMP Sublime with Rome will perform Aug. 16 at the Walmart AMP in Rogers. (Courtesy Photos) MONICA HOOPER NWA Democrat-Gazette Incubus, Sublime with Rome and The Aquadolls will rock the Walmart AMP on Aug. 16. Grammy- nominated Incubus formed in 1991 and have since sold more than 23 million albums worldwide. They've garnered five consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard charts, and last year they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum and critically acclaimed album, "Morning View." Incubus will be joined by fellow '90s band, Sublime with Rome. The ska-reggae-punk trio was previously fronted by Bradley Nowell who passed away from a heroin overdose in 1996. Sublime with Rome was formed in 2010 by lead-singer/guitarist Rome Ramirez, bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Carlos Verdugo. Prior to hitting the road with Incubus and the Aquadolls, the band toured in support of their 2019 album, "Blessings," which featured the singles "Wicked Hear and "Light On." Fans of the old lineup will be happy to learn that they still play their early hits such as "Santeria," "Badfish," "What I Got," and "40oz To Freedom," and other titles that we cannot mention here. Finally, "mermaid rock and rollers," The Aquadolls are touring in support of Incubus and Sublime with Rome. Melissa Brooks, lead singer and songwriter, began recording bedroom demos of her songs and eventually released the group's first album, "We Are Free," in early 2013 followed by "Stoked on You" in December 2014. After a hiatus, the group reformed with Jacqueline Proctor on drums and Keilah Nina on bass and released "The Dream and the Deception" in 2018 on Aqua Babe Records. Last year The Aquadolls signed with Enci Records and released the singles "Disappearing Girl" and "Cry Baby." A new EP is planned for this year. Tickets start at $29.50.
