JaNuaRY 23-29, 2022 Cozy up with some Penguin Ed's BBQ F or more than 25 years, Penguin Ed's has been smoking barbecue and serving up great meals in Northwest Arkansas. From the early days, when their location was a trailer at the corner of Crossover and Mission Boulevard, to now—two brick-and-mortar locations in Fayetteville. Many, many smoked-to- perfection meals have made this more- than-just-barbecue restaurant a local favorite. Penguin Ed's perfectly-smoked, tender, juicy barbecue and signature sauces have been winning awards and loyal customers since the beginning. Any of their scrumptious BBQ dinner plates make a great lunch or dinner choice. They include Texas toast, sides, smoked meat and their famous BBQ sauce. Enjoy their famous homemade burgers, made with fresh beef patties seasoned and formed in-house daily. Or—back by popular demand—their black bean and veggie burgers. Plus, chili and soup are back for the winter. And they also make great hot wings, fresh salads — and of course, mouthwatering cookies. Specials Penguin Ed's Family Packs include one pound of meat, 2 pints of sides, 4 buns, and BBQ sauce…always a great solution to feeding your hungry crew! You can enjoy Penguin Ed's Prime Rib on Saturday nights from 5 p.m. on, at the Mission location, king and queen cut. And start your Sunday at the Mission location by indulging in their Quiche Special. Choose from two mouthwatering homemade quiches: bacon, onion and cheddar or Florentine, available Sundays only, while supplies last. And to top it all off, indulge in their mouth-watering banana and chocolate cream pies, also available at the Mission location! Check out the website for different specials every day at both locations. Cookie-of-the-month New in 2022, there are cookie specials every month at Penguin Eds! They'll feature a brand new and delicious cookie flavor every month. In January, it's a Hot Cocoa cookie with marshmallow topping. February's flavor is Dark Chocolate Cherry and March is a Lucky Charms cookie. Also, they'll have a special Valentine's Day cookie available only on February 14…an extra sweet for your sweet! For those who don't know, owner Ed Knight's daughter, Audrey, began making cookies with her grandmother's family recipe to sell in the restaurant way back when, and it wasn't long before the barbecue crowd fell in love. Penguin Ed's had another hit on their hands. Penguin Ed's is offering Take & Bake Cookie Kits for purchase from their Mission & Crossover location with 24 hours notice. Just call and let them know which cookie kit you would like to order, complete with baking instructions. Get the Baker's Dozen, 13 cookies ready to pop into the oven at home for $12.95. Choose from Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Toffee Pecan, M&M, Neiman Marcus or White Chocolate Apricot! You can also get a quart of their delectable sugar cookie dough to go. Let the kids have fun rolling it out, and creating their own shapes. About 25 mini cookies can be baked with a quart, for $19.95. Historic B & B location features winterized patio dining Penguin Ed's B&B location on 230 S. East Avenue is open for dining-in, either inside or on the beautiful winterized outdoor patio. They've completely renovated the patio at the historic location, complete with clear sidewalls and heaters so you can stay warm and toasty while enjoying delicious meal al fresco.
