Supermarket Sweep (29) KHOG (40) KHBS 8 p.m. Leslie Jones hosts the return of this hit 1960's game show. Using their knowledge of merchandise and grocery shopping skills, teams battle it out to see who can fill their cart with the most expensive items in the store and win the $100,000 prize. Monday The Cleaning Lady (24) KFTA 8 p.m. When the FBI starts asking questions, Thony (Elodie Yung) tries to sever all ties with the crime syndicate. As her son's health worsens, however, she crosses a moral line and be- come more deeply involved. Things get violent during a weapons exchange. Wednesday The Amazing Race (5) KFSM 8 p.m. Phil Keoghan returns to host the next leg of this popular long-running reality series. Teams of globe-trotting adven- ture seekers take off on a mas- sive planet-wide scavenger hunt, each hoping to win the million-dollar prize and the winning title. Next Level Chef (24) KFTA 8 p.m. Chef Gordon Ramsay hosts a new episode as the teams take on the challenge of creating a delicious Italian meal. Each randomly assigned a kitchen workspace, the chefs must prove their environment has no bearing on the quality of the food they create. Thursday Women of the Movement (29) KHOG (40) KHBS 7 p.m. This new drama series tells the true story of Mamie Till-Mob- ley, who risked her life and pri- vacy to share the details of her 14-year-old son, Emmett's, bru- tal murder. Found by the side of the river in 1955, Emmett was killed because he was Black. Call Me Kat (24) KFTA 8 p.m. In this new episode, Kat (May- im Bialik) struggles to find the perfect way to celebrate her an- niversary. Meanwhile, Carter (Julian Gant) and Randi (Kyla Pratt) try to navigate their new relationship. Christopher Rivas is among the guest stars. Friday Undercover Boss (5) KFSM 7 p.m. Andrew Simon, CEO and president of Fremont Street Experience, goes undercov- er within his own corporation in this new episode of the pop- ular reality series. Currently working in Los Vegas, Simon wants to learn why the compa- ny is short on labourers. Penn & Teller: Fool Us (29.2) (40.2) CW 7 p.m. In this new episode of the crafty magic-based competi- tion series, Penn and Teller welcome new acts Mellow, Paige Thompson, Stanley Zhou and Jonathon Lachance to the stage. The performers hope to impress the famous duo by stumping them with magic tricks. Saturday Billy Madison TNT 3 p.m. A millionaire challenges his 27-year-old son, Billy (Adam Sandler), to repeat grades one through 12 in a matter of weeks before he can take over the family business. As Billy strug- gles through grade school, he encounters his childhood sweetheart. The LEGO Movie A&E 7 p.m. Everything is awesome in this unique computer-animated hit. Chris Pratt voices an ordinary Lego figure who is thrust into joining a group of misfits trying to stop a sinister force intent on destroying their world. Will Ferrell also stars. Midsommar SHOW 8 p.m. Back-to-back Ari Aster films offer a healthy dose of the creep-factor. In this first film, Florence Pugh stars as a young woman who tags along to Sweden for a trip with her boyfriend and his friends follow- ing a tragedy. Things soon turn violent and odd. BEST BETS HBO 9 p.m. The Righteous Gemstones Jesse Gemstone (Danny McBride) and his family return to the Home Box Office in the Season 2 premiere of the comedy series "The Righteous Gemstones," airing Sunday, Jan. 9, on the specialty network. After its last episode aired in October 2019, the saga following a world-famous televangelist and his oblivious congregation continues.
