Contact Karen Rice at 479-571-6474 or krice@NWADG.com The Boykins moved from Fort Collins, Colorado to start the business with their friend Lee Robinson. "In Fort Collins there was a lot of craft beer," Katie recalls. "I think they have about 20 in that town alone. Some have gone on to national notoriety, same have gone away. So, we came from a big craft beer market where we were able to explore and see other people be really creative. We saw what a fun industry it was so when we got the opportunity to be a part of it we jumped on it." When they moved to Northwest Arkansas, Benton County had just recently become a wet county having been dry for many years. "We were only the second brewery to open up in Bentonville and the third in the county," Katie notes. "We knew there was a need for this kind of a business and that people would really support it. We feel the culture of the craft business is aligned with the values of Northwest Arkansas. We felt very confident that we would be successful." Bentonville Brewing Company has indeed become a success, and Katie and Beau invite you to stop by and see for yourself. Tours are available on request. "If you feel you are not a craft beer fan right now, I encourage you to try it out," Katie says. "I truly believe there is a beer out there for everybody. And the craft brewers are proving that. Craft beer is as nuanced as wine but so much more approachable. I hope everyone gives it a shot."
