She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lockhart and Nora Frazier Lockhart; her husband, William L. J. Chambers; and a sister, Bessie Mae Johnson. Ms. Chambers is survived by her children, William Chambers (Janet) of Shelby, Minister Albert Ray Chambers (Angie) of Grover, NC, Minster Ronnie L. Chambers (Lorenza), Minister LaDonna Brooks (Andrew), Arthur J. Chambers (Deborah) Minister Monica Barker (Roscoe, Jr.) and Keith Chambers (Rachel) of Gastonia, NC; one broth- er, Arthur Edward Smith of Washington, DC; sisters, Magdalene Chambers of Lexington, NC and Julia Knox of Springfield, MA; seventeen grandchildren; fifty great- grandchildren; and ten great- great grandchildren. LAVERNE WHITE RANDOLPH Laverne White Randolph, 90, of Mayo, SC, passed away on March 17, 2020. She was the widow of the late Hudie Eugene Randolph and daughter of the late D. L. White and Helen Bailey White. Fields of Titusville, FL. She was preceded in death by her brothers, LD Batchelor and Roger "Short" Batchelor. The family held a small, private memorial service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pauline Carpenter Branton; her husband, Dewey "DL" Cook; sons, Mark Stafford and Greg Cook; and daughter, Ann "Sissy" Weaver. Mrs. Cook is survived by her sons, Brian Cook of Durham and David Cook of Durham; daughter, Wanda Stafford of Shelby; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
