She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Lee Harrelson Ruff. She is survived by her husband, Tex Dotson, of the home; daughters, Shondra Dotson and Traci Winston, both of Shelby; brothers, Charles Ruff of Shelby, Pete Ruff of Kings Mountain and Keith Ruff and wife, Rhonda of Shelby; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Harvey Dotson and wife, Betty. Funeral services were held at Christopher Road Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. JIMMY "JIM" LEE CARROLL Jimmy "Jim" Lee Carroll, age 54, of Shelby, passed away on March 15, 2020. Hamrick, age 92, of Boiling Springs, passed away on March 13, 2020. She was the preceded in death by her parents, D. A. & Luna Wallace Wesson; her husband, Bruce Hamrick; her brothers, Ben Wesson, Don Wesson, Jack Wesson & Roy Wesson; and sister, Ruth Wesson. Mrs. Hamrick is survived by sons, Freddie Hamrick of Gaffney, SC, Mark Hamrick (Lynn) of Shelby and daugh- ter, Terri Hamrick Caldwell (Chip) of Lincolnton, NC; two grandsons; a brother, Henry Wesson; and two sisters, Helen Philbeck and Nancy Wagner. ROBERT SAMUEL HAWKINS Robert Samuel Hawkins, 77, of Mooresboro, passed away on March 14, 2020. Mr. Hawkins was preced- ed in death by his parents, Sam Hawkins and Retta Humphries Hawkins; his wife, Linda Keeter Hawkins, and one brother, Ronnie Hawkins. He is survived by one son, David Hawkins from Mooresboro; two daughters, Tammy Clark and husband, Keith from Ellenboro, Rhonda Adkins and husband, John from Mooresboro; one sister, June Green and husband, Ricky; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were held at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. Interment followed at the Cliffside Cemetery. PATRICIA ANN LEDWELL WALLS Patricia Ann Ledwell Walls, age 60, of Shelby, Tresa Hovis, Trena Whitaker (Gary), Terry Laughlin (Pam) and Freddie Laughlin (Celeste); and five grandchil- dren. A private graveside ser- vice was held March 19, 2020. The burial followed the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Robert and Elma Carlene Nance Long; her husband, Bill Camp; a son, Robert Camp; and three brothers, Billy Long, Kenny Long, and Tommy Gene Long. Irene is survived by a son, Bill Camp Jr. of Shelby; two daughters, Kathy Mullinax and Laura Ross both of Blacksburg SC; a daughter- in-law, Rhonda Camp of Shelby; a brother, Richard Long and wife, Hao of Fayetteville; five grandchil- dren; fourteen great grand- children; and a great great grandson. Mr. Carroll is the son of Freddie and Carolyn Clontz and was preceded in death by his biological father, Lawrence Howard Carroll and two infant sons, Tobias Cane Carroll and Tanner Mace Carroll. THOMAS RONALD "RONNIE" LAUGHHLIN Thomas Ronald "Ronnie" Laughlin, 77, of Lawndale, passed away on March 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Laughlin and Luesenior Champion Laughlin. Mr. Laughlin served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandpar- ents, Thomas Spurgeon (Doodle) and Lizzie Digh Laughlin; brothers-in-law, M.A. Fortenbury and Steve Garver; sister-in-law, Betty Laughlin.
