There has been a lot of interest in this trip, so if you wish to go, please sign up quickly at the Senior Center or give us a call. A $100 deposit will reserve your spot. Make check payable to Burel Harris and mail to 223 Country Club Road, Shelby, NC 28150 or drop off at the Senior Center. The balance of the trip must be paid by May 1, 2020. The cost for this trip is as follows per person: dou- ble occupancy $575.00; sin- gle rate $745.00; quad rate: $550.00; triple rate $560.00. The price includes three full days with two nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunch- es, 2 dinners, entertainment, 2 train rides, Blackwater Falls State Park and Greenbrier Bunker tour and lunch. We will leave the Senior Center at 7 a.m. and be home late on Wednesday. Any can- cellation within 3 weeks of trip departure will be subject to loss of some portion of the price, unless we can fill your spot. Because the center is non-profit, constant support through the volunteers and dona- tions enable the center to make these improvements possible. The center appre- ciates the time, money, and item donations, which help make the services available. "We couldn't do it without you!" is a phrase that the Neal Center says with com- plete sincerity. The items listed below are especially useful to help the Neal Center continue offering many activities and services. If you would like to contribute these items to the center, you may bring the items Monday-Thursday from 8AM-4PM and on Friday from 8AM-12 noon. The Neal Center Pantry: paper products, houseclean- ing and laundry products, personal-sized toiletry items (such as soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer); any canned food items such as fruits, vegetables, canned meats (all must be within expiration date and in good condition); dry goods, such as pasta, crackers, etc. The Lunch Box Ministries (currently serv- ing 140 homebound partici- pants): individually pack- aged items, including fruit, soup, PopTarts, cereal, mac & cheese, peanut butter, tuna, Vienna sausage, and pudding. Office supplies, such as copying machine paper. General use: Clorox Wipes, coffee cups, art and craft supplies for senior proj- ects, including construction paper, fabric pieces, cray- ons, artists paint, etc., holi- day decorations, solid color round vinyl tablecloths, pot holders and dish towels Any cash donation would greatly be appreciated. How Can You Support The Neal Senior Center? Are you 55 and over and live in Cleveland County? Are you in need of incontinence supplies? Here at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center, we can help older adults in need of these supplies up to once a month. We have bed pads, bladder pads, and pull- ups, all while supplies last.
