She is the daughter of Ruth Hutchinson of Florida and the late John Allen Blount. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Carroll Sr.; and her son, James Roy Carroll Jr. In addition to her moth- er, she is survived by her daughter, Jamie Carroll Costner and husband, Chris of Shelby; two grandchil- dren; and nine brothers and sisters. IRENE "MAW MAW" HENSON Irene "Maw Maw" Henson, age 96, of Cliffside, passed away January 13, 2020. She was born to the late Jesse Earl Padgett and Rosa Lee Mitchell Padgett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Thomas Henson; an infant daughter, Linda Henson; twin sister, Lorene Dodson; and five brothers, James, Barney, Clyde, Earl and Emil Padgett.
