February 14th Valentine's Lunch at the Carrousel Lunch from 11:30AM til 1:30PM catered by Dressing on the Side and music will be provided. $11.00 per person. Make your reservations now. February 23rd Donald McCluney's 33rd Annual Mid-Cleveland Karate Championships Registration begins at 8:00AM with competitions to begin at 9:00AM in the Shelby City Park Gymnasium. Gates open at 9:00AM tile 4:00PM. $5.00 admission and concessions will be available. March 4th – 8th Western Youth Junior Basketball Tournament Boys ages 13 to 15 from Western North Carolina will compete for the Western Youth Athletic Association's Junior Basketball Championship. Games begin at 6:00PM each night in the Shelby Parks & Recreation Gym. Admission is $2.00 each night. March 5th-7th & March 19th-21st Carrousel & Rotary Train Spring Excursions Shelby City Park is offering six days in March for school groups to ride the Carrousel and/or the Rotary Train for free. No ticket or operator fees for groups who make a reservation for these days and times. Dates are March 5th-7th and 19th-21st from 10:00AM til 2:00PM. Call 704 484-6811 to reserve your groups time. March 23rd Shelby City Park 2013 Easter Egg Hunt Kids ages 2 – 10 bring your Easter Basket and join the Easter Bunny to hunt for over 6000 eggs at the Shelby City Park. Egg Hunt and fun from 9:30AM til 12:00PM. April 27th & 28th, 2013 Foothills Merry Go Round Festival Two big days of fun and food. New rides were a huge success at the 2012 Festival and 2013's Festival will be better than last years. More information coming soon. July 4th "July 4th Celebration At The Park" Thursday, July 4th at the Shelby City Park a day of fun is set for our July 4th Celebration.
