Northwest Arkansas Basketball Sunday, November 4, 2018
Myrick said the transition has been a smooth one.
"We had a good summer," he said. "We went to sever-
al team camps, and the kids have done really well. They
have bought in to what we are doing, but we are doing a
lot of the same things, same motion offense. These kids
know how to play, and they know the game."
McCone, who grew up in Texas but was always a Ra-
zorback and graduated from the University of Arkansas,
was a head coach at Kingston before joining Berry's staff.
McCone said Berry has made it a point to let Mc-
Cone put his stamp on the program by staying away
from practices.
"He told me he didn't want to put a shadow on me,"
McCone said. "But I imagine he will be in the gym when
the season starts."
Huntsville will remain in the 4A-1 Conference, but
the landscape has changed dramatically with the addi-
tion of Harrison and Farmington to an already tough
league.
"It's loaded," McCone said of the 4A-1. "They didn't
do us any favors, that's for sure. But if you can get out
of this conference, you have a pretty good chance in the
state tournament."
