Wide receivers The Panthers could show as many as five wide receivers on the field at one time in Craig's offensive scheme, and there's likely to be lots of new faces catching the ball. At the X position, the Panthers have three players that could all see lots of repetitions in juniors Oren Stafford (6-2, 173), Ransom Van Asche (6-1, 165) and sophomore A.J. Arriaga (5-8, 156). "Any of those three could start," Craig said. "Oren has gotten faster and stron- ger and gone up and made plays. He needs to be more consistent. Ransom is a kid we got back out and he's getting comfortable and understanding the offense more. Once he gets confidence he'll be able to make plays. A.J. is a sophomore who runs good routes and has shown the ability to make plays. He's a kid I could see getting a few reps on Friday nights." Junior Tate Criner (5-9, 155) has come on strong at the Y position during the offseason. "Tate Criner is one of those kids I call an 'over achiever,'" Craig said. "He works extremely hard to do what he does. He tries to make every play for you. He's been a nice addition to our receiving corps and has a real good comprehension of the offense." Junior Tanner Broyles (5-10, 176), after a trial period on defense, has moved back to offense and began making plays late in the summer in 7-on-7 action. Senior Zach Bales (5-10, 155) gives the Panthers added depth at the Y position. The Panthers' biggest threat at receiver heads up the Z spot in senior Primo Agbehi (5-9, 167). Agbehi caught 13 passes for 245 yards and a touch- down before missing half the season with a broken hand. "Primo had a really good summer at wide receiver," Craig said. "He made a lot of plays in 7-on-7. He's got break- away speed (4.5 in the 40-yard dash). OFFENSE Continued from Page 4 See OFFENSE on Page 5
