T he last several months have been illustrious for the Alpha Delta Phi Washington Chapter. We have seen excellent participation in philanthropies across the University of Wash- ington Greek system, taken part in both social and academic events, hosted alumni and parent events, and maintained our strong academic standing on campus. We still hold the highest GPA across all 32 fraternities. Washington Chapter Places First in Academics During fall quarter, our Chapter had the honor of being both first in quarterly GPA as well as cumulative GPA! e honor of holding first place in both positions stemmed from both our commitment to academic success as well as our ever-thorough implementation of effective academic traditions. We continue to utilize our academic mentor program, where freshmen are paired with upperclassmen in their respective fields of study, as well as our unique study table program, where members take part in communal trips to on-campus libraries during the weekdays. Furthermore, the generous academic scholarship program, which rewards students for placing on the dean's list, has been ever-effective in promoting academic growth. We look forward to seeing the results of the spring grade report. We are always in the pursuit of new ways in which we can strive for academic excellence. Brothers Raise More an $65,000 for Stanley Stamm Summer Camp Beyond our commitment to participating in philanthropies hosted by sororities on campus such as Gamma Phi Beta's Moonball philanthropy or the Delta Gamma Anchorsplash event, we dedicate increased focus on our own philanthropic measures. We continue to support the Stanley Stamm Summer Camp, a local summer camp hosted by Seattle Children's Hospital. With our fundraising efforts and annual philanthropy auction, we were able to raise more than $65,000! ere has been nothing but growth and success in our philanthropic impacts in the past several years, and we cannot wait until the ball gets rolling again for next year's events. Chapter Looks Forward to Welcoming New Members We are in the midst of the spring/summer recruitment cycle. With the hard work of our re- cruitment chairmen and our Chapter's efforts to sign high-quality future members, we are certain it will be a success! ank You, Alumni and Parents We have held numerous social events such as our mother/son dinner and dance, our annual trip to Couer D'Alene, Idaho, and the lovely initiation banquet held on campus in January. We enjoyed a wonderfully sunny Eells Cup, a joint undergraduate/alumni golfing event with din- ner, and our historic Memorial Day trip to Vantage, Wash., had a great turnout. Without the participation of our alumni brothers and parents, these events would not be possible. ank you for remaining a part of our brotherhood and we hope to see you at our upcoming events! Between our academic, philanthropic, and social successes we have had a phenomenal year to date, and look forward to the rest of the summer and fall to finish strong. Stay tuned for events this next fall and winter, and stop by the Chapter house!
