ACTIVE CHAPTER GIVES BACK
Removes Invasive Vegetation in West Seattle and Olympia
T
he active chapter recently spent time connecting with nature and giving of their time
and muscle power to improve conditions in area nature preserves. ey journeyed
to the Duwamish River in West Seattle to clear invasive blackberry bushes with the
Nature Consortium. Gamma Chi's newest pledge class completed a similar project, traveling
to Olympia for their winter quarter retreat, ridding parks of invasive species of plants and
stopping them from spreading into nearby wetlands.
