Finally, as we close out this school year, take some
time to reflect on your days at the Shelter—the
memories, the brotherhood, the good times and
the bad. All of this helped shape us into who and
what we are today. There is a reason you picked
up this newsletter, and why you carve out time to
read about the fraternity, or why you choose to
catch up with your pledge brothers from time to
time. Take a moment to share with us why Beta
Zeta is important to you. We will be sending out
an alumni update request this summer and would
greatly enjoy hearing from you. As always, it's a
great day to be a Delt!
Fraternally,

Randy encourages alumni who have lost
touch to remember the brotherhood is always
waiting to welcome them back with open
arms. Beta Zeta men are fortunate to be able
to dine together, walk to classes together, and
enjoy life, and these bonds can continue after
graduation. "I hope alumni from all eras will
come to the Shelter for Homecoming, join
the undergraduate members for dinner, and
if you haven't been to Butler recently, check
out the new and improved Shelter. As we say
down south, no invitations are required; just
show up."
Randy lives in Twinsburg, Ohio, and has
served as chapter advisor for Kent State
University since 2014. He can be reached at

CHAPTER ETERNAL
Bill Richardson '79, known as "Wild Bill," passed on to Chapter Eternal following a long battle
with diabetes and its many complications in March. He was 60. Bill served on the Arch Chapter from
2011-15, capping a long service with the fraternity, including most recently serving as the Western
Pacific Division President. Bill frequently shared with alumni and undergraduates about his memo-
ries of Trike and his days spent in the Beta Zeta Shelter. He will be greatly missed.

I
f you have not already, please reach out to Derek Burns '04 (derekburns19@
yahoo.com) once you have chosen the preferred inscription on your bricks or paver.
We would like to ask for everyone's assistance in finalizing the Shelter courtyard. In
2016, we placed 45% of alumni bricks and pavers, and we hope to be able to place the
remainder during summer 2018.
