8A Daily News – Friday, November 30, 2012 4th Annual Turkey Trot a success at Lassen View Education in Tehama County KEEP ON LEARNING DAIRYVILLE — Lassen View School held its Fourth Annual Turkey Trot on Sunday, Nov. 25. The event was a total success as over 100 fourth through eighth grade students participated in the half-mile run. Each of the seven primary classes were armed with pom poms and posters. They were strategically placed along the path to cheer on their schoolmates. First place winners received turkeys, second place winners earned hams and third place winners took home pumpkin pies. The event was sponsored by Lassen View Booster Club. The results are as follows: 7th & 8th Grade Boys: 1st place Kegan Richards, 2nd place Rafa Avalos, 3rd place Connor Fennel 7th & 8th Grade Girls: 1st Place Maggie Winning, 2nd Place Liz Baccala, 3rd Place Rachel Rogers 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade Boys: 1st Place Ryan Gutierrez, 2nd Place Clay Ames, 3rd Place Hayden Hamre; 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade Girls: 1st Place Jayne Brandt, 2nd Place Sierra Huntsman, 3rd Place Olivia Silvera. Students measured out the ingredients from the recipe and then enjoyed eating their pumpkin dish. Super Heroes abound at Bend Our Bend Super Heroes for Higher Education have been learning what they need to do to get into college. The boys and girls have gone on-line to see Red Bluff Garden Club SCHOLARSHIP CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE what different colleges offer. They are working hard at their studies to improve their test scores. They are reading and writing a lot to improve their vocabulary and comprehension skills. Our Super Masked Kids also have fun. In their cooking club, for instance, they are 37th Annual 616 CEDAR ST. The lower grades have been learning all about bees. Our students are also involved in many organized outdoor activities or sports to keep physically fit.
