Stepping into the Hawkins House you will learn that much of the holiday season was focused on helping those less fortu- nate. With baked goods, canned foods, and clothing gathered for the local charity drive. You'll see that the family enjoyed winter fun with ice skating on a local pond or going sledding. The house will also be decorated in tradi- tional pine boughs and holly; with a small tabletop tree decorated in tinsel, gilded nuts, homemade ornaments and candles.
