Our construction project is finished, and we couldn't have done it without the donations and continued pledge payments from our generous alumnae and the patience of our collegians during the process. While so many of our neighbors are tearing down and rebuilding their chapter houses, the members of Facility Corporation Board are so proud that the project preserved and now will prolong the original house at 603 Kentucky. The oldest portion of the house will turn one hundred years old in 2022, which is such a special mile- stone. We also love the way the home's decor honors our past in nearly every room. To remain good stewards of the donations made by our alumnae and of the rent and facility fees paid by our collegians, we are developing a 10-year plan for maintaining the facility. Items on the plan include ensuring we keep up with technology in computers, printers, and kitchen equipment, as well as maintaining a beautiful lawn and landscape. Good financial planning at every phase of the project has ensured our rent and facility fees remain competitive. We are adjusting to the operation of a much larger house. Housing over 100 women this semester has necessitated a second part-time cleaning lady. With the move of longtime handyman and project manager Brian Hulett, we've also selected a new handyman, Jeff Eller, to ensure the house is well cared for. This fall, we welcomed many alumnae back to 603 Kentucky during Family Weekend, Homecoming Weekend, and an intimate ribbon cutting on September 23. We hope each of you will be able to visit the facility soon! In the meantime, enjoy the enclosed photos and chapter update.
