The Legacy of the Jordan Standard 2 THELAMBDA LETTER Bill took on projects such as evaluating and updating the Chapter House's wireless infrastructure and establishing security protocols. "It was rewarding in a way that is hard to describe. On the one hand, I was given an opportunity to make an immediate difference in the daily lives of the young men living in the Chapter House. On the other hand, I realized that giving my time and experience was its own reward." He encourages alumni to reconnect with Lambda Chapter either through the alumni association or the Lambda Corporation. "You can devote as little or as much time as is in your schedule. Becoming involved offers the opportunity to not only reconnect with your brothers, but the undergrads as well." Whether facing a technical challenge or taking the next step in his career, Bill constantly refers back to the values instilled in him as an undergraduate member. "As I get older, I have found new meaning in the six lines that are the Jordan Standard. Looking back, they have always been the standard by which I have judged myself. I have returned to it throughout my life whenever I needed to re-center myself either personally or professionally." Bill works as a purchasing analyst and technical trainer for The Buckingham Companies in Indianapolis. He is one of a multi-generational legacy to Sigma Chi: William Chambers '54, Phil Chambers '80, Brad Chambers '86, Dave Chambers '10, Brandon Chambers '13, and Nick Chambers '17.
