Get to Know Omicron House Corporation Board Members Jill Waldrop '86 Treasurer Jill graduated from Mizzou with a degree in economics and a minor in math and statistics. She has spent her career in the banking and finance industry, starting as a bank teller and now working as a mortgage broker for RPM Mortgage in Arizona. Jill is a member of the Valley of the Sun board of directors for Mizzou and is the Missouri University representative on the SEC board of directors in Arizona. Jill has served on Omicron's House Corporation Board in the past and was a recipient of the 2005 Tiger Pride Award and the Ursa Major award in 2006. She spends her time volunteering and playing with her dogs, Harper and Jesse. Why do you think it's important for alumnae to stay involved with Omicron after graduation? "As students and current members of the chapter, we got to experience sisterhood, a house mom, philanthropy, dances, mixers, and late-night study halls in a giant house with our friends. None of this would be possible without the support of alumnae. Donations from alumnae help keep the house up-to-date and keep our members out of trouble. Alumnae make sure that traditions are kept alive, that songs are passed down from one class to the next, and that we have the best college experiences as possible. The best way for these things to continue is to keep alumnae involved. I had an amazing time in college and I can truly say that the best friends I have in this world right now are girls who I met in Alpha Phi. I know I owe a lot to Alpha Phi and I hope that others who have walked in my same footsteps feel the same way." Cherie Stephens Bock '89 Director of Alumnae Relations Cherie graduated from Mizzou with a bachelor's degree in business administration and worked for five years at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as a bank examiner and analyst. In 1999, she graduated from St. Louis University of Law and has been partner at Thompson Coburn LLP where she specializes in banking and commercial finance. Cherie served as Omicron's recruitment advisor in 2016 and is married with three children: Katelyn (12), Tyler (16), and Hayley '15 (20). What motivated you to serve on Omicron's House Corporation Board? "I decided to become involved with the House Corporation Board after my daughter was initiated into Omicron in the fall of 2015. Visiting the chapter house over the last couple of years has certainly brought back many wonderful memories of living at 906 S. Providence. I am excited to be part of the strategic planning process to make changes to the chapter house necessary to keep Omicron a strong, competitive chapter on campus." Blair McNamee Ward '11 Recording Secretary During her years at Mizzou, Blair played club soccer and was part of MOJO AD, the student-staffed advertising agency. Here, she developed a passion for design and branding. Upon graduation, Blair wanted to stay connected to Omicron, so she has provided the chapter with personalized Bid Day gifts each year through her side business, Blair Catherine Designs. Blair is married and welcomed her first child this summer. What does your Alpha Phi experience mean to you? "During my time at Mizzou, Alpha Phi had such a positive impact on my college experience. The relationships I formed during those years developed into lifelong friendships. I am extremely passionate about Alpha Phi and want to serve to ensure future Alpha Phis continue to have positive experiences and success. It's important for alumnae to stay involved as a way to continue to maintain and grow the chapter and have their voice be heard on future decisions. Each generation of women brings a different perspective and it's critical each are heard."
