Sigma Phi EPSilon PAGE 2 T his fall, Kansas Beta welcomed 32 new members into one of the largest fall classes in recent memory. The total number of men living in the Chapter House is now 72, marking the first time the Chapter House has been full in nearly four years. This could not have been done without the tireless work ethic of Vice President of Recruitment Max Kuhn '18 as he has strived to fill the Chapter with quality young men for three years. Last semester, we saw our GPA increase and have regained our spot in the top 10 of fraternities on campus. Our goal is to improve our GPA and place in the top five of all fraternities on campus. Lucas Renz '18 and Carson Lilley '18 continue to serve on the Interfraternity Council (IFC); Lucas as IFC president and Carson as the director of internal affairs. They are both role models and valuable assets to the Chapter. This year, Cole McEntee '19 and I journeyed to the 55th annual Grand Chapter Conclave in Orlando, Fla. While there, we discussed and voted on key legislation proposals that will shape the future of our Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. The biggest legislation voted on and passed was all SigEp chapter houses going alcohol free within three years. This fall, our Chapter plans to compete at a high level in all intramurals, have a strong presence at all philanthropic events in the Manhattan area, and continue to provide service for the community. On September 10 we volunteered at the KSU recycling center. Plans are underway for our own philanthropic event, which will consist of a car wash at the Chapter House and a dodgeball tournament. Alumni, without all of your efforts, Kansas Beta would not be where it is today and we value your support. In turn, we would like to invite you all to our Alumni Tailgate November 11 for the West Virginia game; please stay tuned to location and time. Our plans are to rent out a bar for in Aggieville for all SigEps to gather afterward. In February, we will celebrate our 100 years of being at Kansas Ryan Rysavy '19 and Cole McEntee '19 attend the 55th Grand Chapter Conclave in Orlando, Fla. Undergraduates volunteer at the KSU Recycling Center. Lucas Renz '18 receives the Greek Man of the Year award for his hard work and dedication to all Greek life at Kansas State. Kansas Beta members are committed to the "Live Your Oath" campaign in partnership with Alpha Delta Pi to help put an end to sexual assault on college campuses.
