QPD BULLETIN REPORT Provided by Quartzsite Police Department MAY 8 TO JUNE 5, 2017 7/04/17 QPD responded to a distur- bance near N. Tesota. Gary Wayne COEN arrived and broke a 1964 Ford Mustang replica model car ($20) and a Lowenberg mirror ($20) belonging to his wife. Coen also threw a large 2 ft x 2 inch branch at a witness, but missed striking her and struck the awning of the house. A search for Coen was done in the area. A van registered to Gary Coen was lo- cated directly behind Tesota. The van had a small puppy panting heavily and sitting in the driver seat with windows up. The temperature outside was reading 100 degrees. The puppy was released. 6/11/17 Julio AGUAYO was in posses- sion of a stolen Graco XR9 airless paint sprayer on E. Cowell. 7/01/17 QPD responded to report of an injury accident which occurred on July 1st. A witness reported a gray Civic backed up to her black Ford Mustang causing minor damage to her front bum- per. She attempted to get the Honda's driver information, but she left the scene, claiming the damage was already there. She called police but they were busy on priority traffic. QPD contacted Hunting- ton Beach Police Dept. as the suspect vehicle's license plates came registered in Huntington Beach, Ca. 7/06/17 QPD responded to report of a runaway juvenile from N. Tesota by her mother. She was located at the resi- dence and reported she was there the entire time. 7/06/17 QPD responded to W. Main St. in reference to threats between two parties which ultimately resulted in no charges desiring to be pursued by either party. 7/07/17 QPD responded to a suspicious vehicle near N. Elsie and subsequent re- porting of an alleged criminal trespass/ attempted burglary at that location. 7/07/17 QPD stopped and cited Manual GUERRERO for criminal speed by ex- ceeding the posted speed limit by 20 plus miles per hour in a posted 35 mile per hour zone near block of 800 W. Main St. 7/07/17 TU#2 was southbound on Cen- tral Blvd approaching Chandler St. Tu#1 was on Chandler St. westbound. TU#1 attempted to turn onto southbound Cen- tral and struck TU#2 who was turning onto eastbound Chandler. The driver of TU#1 was cited for failure to yield at an intersection. 7/07/17 La Posa Maintenance came into QPD to report an abandoned vehicle at the area known as Scaddan Wash. A sedan was located unoccupied in a dry wash by Scaddan Wash & Power Line Rd. Witness stated the vehicle had been parked in the same location for the past week. The vehicle did not appear to be damaged and all doors and trunk were locked. The registered owner of the ve- hicle was reported as deceased and the daughter identified her brother was the one driving the vehicle. QPD conducted a perimeter check in an attempt to find anyone connected to the vehicle, but was unsuccesful. QPD did find a green sleeveless shirt on the ground about 100 yards NE of the location. Towing compa- ny took possession of the vehicle. 7/08/17 QPD was dispatched to a do- mestic disturbance on N. Targa Trail. During the investigation, Teresa OCHOA was arrested for disorderly conduct per domestic violence for serious disrup- tive behavior while minors were present and threats per domestic violence after threatening to burn the victim's house down. OCHOA was arrested and booked at the La Paz Co. Detention Center. 7/08/17 Armando OCHOA was contacted during a domestic violence call involving his cousin and aunt. A routine wants and warrants check revealed a misdemeanor warrant out of Quartzsite Justice Court. A. Ochoa was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail. 7/09/17 Lars AGUILAR was arrested for driving without a valid driver's license, an attempted possession of marijuana. Aguilar was stopped for a civil traffic vio- lation (license plate light) a records check showed that Aguilar did not have a valid driver's license. During this time, Agui- lar self-admitted to smoking marijuana, and having a small amount of marijuana on his person. At that time, Aguilar was taken into custody without incident, and booked into the La Paz County Jail. 7/10/17 QPD cited a driver for mandatory insurance suspended license plate. Driver was stopped for a civil traffic violation on S. Kofa & W. Cowell. Subsequently the license plate was seized for destruction. 7/10/17 A woman reported her husband and their mutual friend were missing. They left W. Desert Vista St. enroute to Algodones, Mexico for a dental appoint- ment. Later in the day they both returned home safely. 7/10/17 QPD responded to a report of an employee on W. Main bit his hamburger 2 times. This report is for informational purposes only. 7/11/17 QPD initiated a traffic stop on a Ford truck on N. Moon Mountain Rd. and found the driver Amanda FABER to have a valid warrant for her arrest out of Parker Justice Court for which she was arrested and transported to the La Paz County Detention Facility. Furthermore, she was also cited for the civil traffic offenses. Between 7/11/17 & 7/12/17 unknown person(s) entered a building on W. Main St. by removing an air conditioner and climbing through the hole. Once inside, they stole approx. $1,100 in merchan- dise. 7/14/17 Robert MORRISON was ar- rested for Disorderly Conduct. Morris engaged in seriously disruptive behavior and disrupted the normal operation of a business on Main St. Morison was angry because he did not have his ID on his person so he could board the bus. Mor- rison had an intoxicated odor emitting from his person. Morrison initially was allowed to leave the location. Morrison relocated to the another location and began to yell "arrest me," due to not be- ing able to board the bus. Morrison was taken into custody without incident, and booked into the La Paz Co. Jail. 7/14/17 A woman was pronounced de- ceased at her residence on E. Kuehn St. 7/14/17 QPD initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle which the driver Jose BECERRA had a suspended Arizona driver license. Subsequently, his vehicle was impound- ed and he was cited and released for driving on a suspended driver license. 7/15/17 QPD was dispatched to a loca- tion on W. Main St. where Daryl WIL- LIAMS claimed his alleged girlfriend, Cherrelle L. MCMILLON, had taken his money, credit cards and wallet at some point during a commute from California to Texas. McMillon also had her family of six along for the ride. Ultimately, QPD located a usable quantity of (.5 grams) methamphetamine within the vehicle. A complaint was requested from La Paz Co. Attorney's Office. 7/15/17 QPD responded to a wash area on W. Main St. in reference to a de- ceased subject who was later identified. 7/16/17 QPD responded to Tesota Ln. in reference to a possible past assault that occurred on Pyramid Ln. A witness al- leged her daughter assaulted her after her mother tried to retrieve property from the residence. 7/17/17 Gary LEISER was arrested on a valid misdemeanor failure to appear war- rant. Leiser was contacted on W. Main St for a bicycle violation (no front light). A record check revealed that Leiser had a valid misdemeanor arrest warrant out of the Quartzsite Magistrate Court. Leiser was taken into custody and booked into the La Paz County Jail without incident. 7/17/17 A male was discovered deceased in his residence by his wife. He appears to have passed from natural causes. Between 7/13/17 & 7/17/17 an unknown person or persons cut the driver seatbelt of a vehicle on E. Quail Trail. Loss is es- timated at approx. $200. On 6/06/17, 06/07/17, & 7/14/17 a male deposited a total of 5 checks. The total amount deposited by him is $6,069.00. On 7/14/17 he deposited a check in the amount of $360.00. On 7/19/17 the checks were reported as fraudulent checks. 7/2-/17 QPD responded to a welfare check on E. Main St. where contact was made. Investigation stemmed into the revelation of a civil issue between her- self and her ex-boyfriend. 7/20/17 QPD assisted Arizona DPS with traffic control during an eastbound and westbound traffic collision at which point a license plate was located and seized from the bushes, which was not associated with either of vehicles involved in the collision. 7/19/17 A subject borrowed a vehicle on E. Quail Trail; was supposed to return the ve- hicle after a few hours, but did not return it. 7/20/17 Alvaro ZAPATA and Rick BARFIELD got into a verbal and physical altercation on S. Quartzsite Blvd. Em- ployees had to get in between them to stop them from fighting. Both BARFIELD and ZAPATA were cited and released for disorderly conduct. 7/22/17 A red Jeep Compass driven by Mardonio Cruz RUIZ and a white Nissan Versa were travelling at 55 MPH in the 35 MPH speed zone on Hwy. 95 and No Name St. A Traffic stop revealed neither had valid driver's licenses. RUIZ, along with 3 other passengers of the Jeep were arrested by US Border Patrol. The Jeep was towed per ARS 28-3511.A4. Both RUIZ and PEREZ were cited for ARS 28- 351.A, no valid driver's license. 7/22/17 Elizabeth SEBER was contacted on E. Cowell. A routine wants and war- rants check revealed a felony warrant out of Superior Court. SEBER was arrested and booked into the La Paz Co. Jail. 7/22/17 Mathew MANYGOATS was cited and released on W. Kuehn St. for the charge of driving with a suspended driver's license. Manygoats was stopped for a civil traffic violation (improper stop at stop sign.) A record check revealed that Manygoats Arizona driving privi- leges were suspended. Manygoats was cited and released on scene without inci- dent. Manygoats' vehicle was towed and placed under a 30-day impound. SEE QPD BULLETIN PAGE 19
