First floor supply closet is
filled with recruitment and
ritual materials, supplies for
chapter activities, and tables
and chairs for chapter dinner.
Large room serves many purposes including
overflow dining, studying and hanging out.
These activities often happen simultaneously,
which can be disruptive.
Staff works within very tight quarters to prep
daily meals for in-house collegians and a
weekly meal for entire membership. The oven
door hits the prep table when opened, and
there is no efficient serving area.
Sleeping rooms have inadequate lighting,
minimal storage and dated furniture and are
not comparable to other on-campus
student housing.
Formal dining area can only accommodate
40 women. With over 100 members, the
chapter is physically separated during
special Monday night dinners, which does
not foster sisterhood.
Layout of formal living room and
entry foyer are not optimal for recruitment
parties and other events.
Facilities are not adequate for collegians,
alumnae and guests. Bathrooms have aging
plumbing, lack of storage and do not
meet ADA requirements.
