SF: Joe Wright sings vocals; Jason Fitch plays bass; Zach Trahan plays the guitar; Adam Cooper also plays the guitar; and Adam Biolsi is our drummer. When and where did you get started? SF: It started out with Zach and Adam playing to some drum tracks they created on a computer in a shed. For two years they talked about getting a band together and fi nally decided to put some ads out. First they found Joe, the singer/screamer. He came out and auditioned one night in February 2012 and was a shoe-in. Second they found Jason, our bass player. He joined the band in the late part of February 2012. Last but not least, Vaughn our drummer joined. Zach and Vaughn have been friends for about 10 years and recently ran into each other and the rest is history ... Spit Face was born. UCW: How did the band get its name? SF: It was a game name that Zach used years ago, and the rest of the guys thought it would be a great band name. UCW: How would you defi ne your music? SF: Aggressive. Energetic. Hardcore metal. UCW: Who are your favorite bands/infl uences on your music? SF: Chimaira, Slayer, Mudvayne and Slipknot. UCW: Do you write your own music and where does that inspiration come from? SF: Yes we do write our own music. We all come together and collaborate on certain guitar riffs, vocal styles and song structures. UCW: If you only had two words to describe your band what would they be? SF: Brutality's elite. UCW: What are your hopes/goals for the future of your band? SF: We hope to tour and play for our fans and maybe some day sign a record deal. We want to keep making music together. UCW: Where do you see the band fi ve years, 10 years from now? SF: Playing a lot of shows and making fans across the land. UCW: Where can Fayetteville music lovers check you in the near future?
