Everywhere I went, the residents of New Orleans always seemed to have smiles on their faces and kind words to share. Pretty remarkable after all this town has been through. The city is genuinely unique in culture and tradition. Waterfront, art, food, music, beads! There are countless ways to enjoy this city. However, during my visit I couldn't Fayetteville's Weather Forecast Friday September 27 September 28 September 29 Saturday Fayetteville's Weather Forecast Thursday "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!" No truer words have ever been written or spoken when you take a look at the residents of New Orleans, who have survived in this tight economy along with the all of the other recent tragedies, challenges and adversities they have suffered in the past few months. Wow! These folks have been through a lot down here. I guess that is why I am so amazed and impressed with their demeanor, friendly attitude and refreshingly positive approach to their jobs, schools and in rebuilding their lives and community. Cities and towns all over America could learn much from the perseverance and work ethic of these folks. Signs of rebuilding and reinventing the city were everywhere. Here is a city rebuilding itself, building communities, help but think how Fayetteville could better utilize our unique assets, people and talents to excite and stimulate our community and local economy. Think about it. Comparatively, we things will get better. They always do. In the meantime, I say Fayetteville should strike up the bands, loosen up and put some fun, excitement and imagination back into our lives. Got it. Fayetteville is not New Orleans. But hey, who says we can't "Let the good times roll." Your comments are welcome. Thank you for reading Up & Coming Weekly. Coming Weekly, COMMENTS? editor@upandcomingweekly.com.
