Gamma Phi Beta page 3 GFB Philanthropy at the Forefront of Pi Chapter's Efforts Newly Elected Executive Council Leads through Positivity P i Chapter concluded a successful fall semester and is now off to a phenomenal start in this new year. Last fall, the chapter hosted two philanthropic events—Scoops for Schools and French Toast Feed. Scoops for Schools is a collaborative philanthropic event with FarmHouse Fraternity during which chapter members serve homemade ice cream sandwiches with Cookie Co. Cookies. More than $5,700 was donated to Lincoln Lighthouse. We had another successful French Toast Feed during which more than $5,800 was raised to support Girls on the Run at the national and local levels. This spring, we are excited to announce Gamma Phi Beta's newest event, Moonball. Moonball is a volleyball tournament where members of the campus community are invited to participate and support Girls on the Run. Our dedication to our philanthropic efforts is continuously expanding and the members' understanding of Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic mission—Building Strong Girls—is taking root in Pi Chapter. The newly elected executive council members and Chapter Advisor Kelsey Hohlen '06 traveled to Chicago in January to attend the Real Leadership Conference. We collaborated with other chapters and improved in our leadership roles. What a tremendous opportunity it was to experience the sorority in such a memorable way and recognize the significant impact this organization has had on so many women! Additionally, our executive team has made attainable goals for this semester. We are excited to work together as leaders for this team and our chapter. Our mission statement is as follows: "We promise to inspire positive change, both individually and as a chapter, while embodying our four core values." We are looking forward to a great spring semester and have many exciting events in the works. We hope you, our amazing alumnae, take the time to stop by the house when in the area.
