Box 861473 Tuscaloosa, AL 35486-0012 Address Service Requested SAVE the DATE Join Us for the Annual House Corporation Meeting O ur Annual House Corporation meeting will be Sunday, April 30, at 1:30 p.m. in our beautiful Tri Delta House dining room. We hope a Sunday afternoon meeting will work for many of you to attend, as parking will be easy! The nominating committee will present the slate for the House Corporation Board of Directors. There will also be nominations from the floor and an election. And yes, YOU are already part of House Corporation—all Delta Mu DDDs and any DDDs from other chapters that live in the area are members. I urge you to come, see some friends, meet new sisters, renew connections, and enjoy your sister bonds! You know it "takes a village," and in this case, it takes us all to help Delta Mu continue to excel as a philanthropic, academic, and social leader. ALUMNAE UPDATE IN MEMORIAM Caroline Marbury Bright '59 passed away on September 3. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., on September 7, 1938. She was a member of the Junior League of Birmingham and served as the president of the Birmingham Civic Ballet Guild. A lifelong Episcopalian, she was always active in the Episcopal Church Women's organizations, eventually serving as the diocesan president of the Episcopal Church Women in the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, the Rev. Carl C. Bright, and their children. ALUMNAE NEWS Elizabeth Carter Kahlmus '43 is 92 years old and celebrated her birthday with a visit to Orange Beach, Ala., with her two daughters. She belongs to two literary clubs near her home in Meridan, Miss. She is also active in her Presbyterian Church, plays bridge weekly, and picks up a group of widows every Friday night to go to supper. Betsy Pankey Casillas '50 and her husband, Ben, moved to Centennial, Colo., to be closer to their son. Their home is in the Holly Creek retirement community. Emma Hollingsworth Wood '53 retired in Boston, Mass., in 1999 and retired again in Fairhope, Ala., in 2015. She then moved from the Gulf to the eastern shore in Burlington, Vt., to join her sons and their families. Her granddaughter, Maddie, is a member of the Eta Chapter at the University of Vermont. E-mail: emhwood.96vt@gmail.com Mary "Genie" Haigler Miller '54 is part of a three-generation Delta Mu legacy, which also includes her daughter, Martha Collins '81, and her granddaughter, Christine Coffman '16. Together they are three very active Tri Delta sisters in Huntsville, Ala., and Tuscaloosa, Ala. Betsey Bibb Adams '61 is thrilled to have her granddaughters, Holly Adams '13 and Allison Adams '15, enjoying the Delta Mu sisterhood at this time. They have a 200-year-old house in Georgetown, D.C., and she represents home buyers and sellers in the greater Washington, D.C., area. After five years there, she has now transitioned to work full time and teach part time at Highlands College. She lives in Birmingham, Ala.
