The City's storm debris contractor, Crowder-Gulf, has completed its contractual obligations for right of way debris removal. Hurricane Matthew debris collections topped out at 59,739 cubic yards of vegetative debris and 11,876 cubic yards of Construction & Demolition (C&D) debris. The City acknowledges that there is still vegetative debris curbside, as well as bulk items. City Manager Doug Hewett said: "The City thanks all of our residents for their assistance and patience in bringing our neighborhoods back from the disaster we experienced. While there is still vegetative debris in some areas, we believe it is time to resume regular service schedules and processes that were in place before the hurricane. Environmental Services is able to do this with little or no disruption in services." Residents are asked to contact the Call Center at 433-1329 to schedule a pickup of bulk items. Also available on smart phones is the reporting app FayFixIt. Limbs will be collected on the first working day following the weekly yard waste pickup day. There is no need to call to schedule limb pickup. Guidelines and any applicable fees have been reinstated. Please view these on the City website: www.FayettevilleNC.gov under Environmental Services Department.
