Kevin shared his experiences from both SigEp and the professional world. He spoke with our upperclassmen on the importance of taking risks, understanding your peers, and relying on the support of friends and family. Brian presented his keys to being successful as he shared his experiences working in a wide variety of workplaces, ranging from Google to the FBI. Brian, who lives in Los Angeles, was able to spend the entire weekend in Cincinnati and even joined some of the undergraduates afterward at Rhinegeist Brewery. The second Alumni Speaker Series was a great success and we look forward to hosting the next one this spring. T he University of Cincinnati's Homecom- ing on October 22 was a huge success! We had a great turnout of undergradu- ates, alumni, and family at the tailgate, where everyone enjoyed food and drinks around the house and outside on the patio before the game. The undergraduates of Sigma Phi Epsilon Ohio Theta played a huge role in Homecoming 2016. Brother ryan carrel '18 designed the Homecoming theme, Bearcat for President. His design could be found all over the university's website, along with hats and T-shirts from the Student Alumni Council. Our chapter paired with our neighboring sorority, Theta Phi Alpha, and placed second overall in the float competition with our Bearcat 1 (Air Force 1) replica plane crashing into the ECU's mascot pirate ship. Brothers timmy Jones '19 and Kyle rickett '19 oversaw the float design and construction. During halftime of the game, our very own brother, alex shelton '18, was crowned Homecoming king! Miss Kendall Wright was crowned Homecoming queen. To top off the night, our bearcats pulled off a 31-19 victory over East Carolina University. Thank you to everyone who came out to the tailgate; we had a great showing from alumni of all years, friends, and family. Be on the lookout for information on an upcoming alumni basketball tailgate. homecoming 2016 brings together alumni, family, and friends Ohio Theta Brother Crowned Homecoming King The 2016 Homecoming theme was designed by Ryan Carrel '18.
