EntrE nous 2 The original interior doors on the first floor were framed as specified by our architect, Paul Williams, when he designed the house over 40 years ago. This is a subtle change, but it makes such a big difference! The living room furniture was reupholstered with the strongest fabric available. In the downstairs TV room, the sofa was restuffed and reupholstered with the same strong Crypton fabric. This sofa was long overdue as it had fingernail polish and highlighter on it from many years ago. The sunroom and rec room furniture received new Crypton and sunbrella fabrics for extra durability. doors were framed in the rec room and chalkboard paint was added. In the dining room, we had a woodworker painstakingly take apart the beautiful dining tables so that he could reinforce and repair some cracking that had occurred. They are sturdy and good to go! Curtain panels were added in the dining room and music room. The plantation shutters are still there, but the panels make the rooms look finished and the dining room not so cavernous. We fixed and painted the front door, balconies and all the wood trim and shutters on the front of the house. It looks great! We have increased the speed of our Internet service, overhauled our soft water system that also helps our house pipes and improves the quality of water flow and we serviced the air conditioning units. The thermostats have been balanced to improve the consistency of the temperature throughout the house. We have updated several of our security cameras with state-of-the-art equipment. Washers and dryers were serviced and are free of charge — we even supply the detergent! The windows have been fixed and the broken screens replaced. The workout room equipment has been serviced and repairs were done on the roof and perimeter fencing. each room has a beautiful exit and escape plan behind each door. It is hotel quality and is a necessity for each room. We also replaced the escape ladders that are located in the back bedrooms on the second and third floors. Whew — all that during the summer break! I hope you enjoy cooler weather, football, and find time to make someone smile. The world could use some lovely things worthwhile!
