What's next for you with surfing? I understand you are going to be doing some competitions in coming months around the globe. can you mention a few? I've signed up for three Qualifying series in October and november in Costa rica, Japan and Australia. These contests I obviously want to win, but are more important to get back into the mood. I'm going to compete in all the Qualifying series in 2017 in hopes to finish top 10 and qualify for the World Championship Tour. News reports love to mention that you could compete in olympic surfing in 2020. What are you thinking about that? That's a huge goal of mine. IsA President Fernando Aguerre always spoke about his dream of getting surfing into the Olympics. I never expected to see it in my lifetime or at least in my prime athletic career, but I was ecstatic to hear the news. They actually announced it when I was in rio days before the opening ceremonies, which made it even more special for me. There are a lot of question marks with how they are going to choose the teams and qualification process, but it's one of my long-term goals. During your collegiate years, did you live in the chapter house? I actually lived in the house all four years. I moved in my second semester as a freshman and never moved out! With the hours and commitment I had to give to the sport of water polo during my collegiate career, living in allowed me to still be a part of the sisterhood. Do you have favorite memories of your time in Pi Phi? I have so many memories. I have to thank Pi Phi for making my college career even more special. I have met some amazing people and have gained lifelong friendships through Pi Phi. Are you able to keep in touch with some of your Pi Phi sisters? Yes! It's tough having such a crazy travel schedule, but I have so many Pi Phi sisters supporting me in my athletic endeavors. I try and catch up with some of them through coffee and lunch when I am home. I always get to see some during UsC football games! My favorite recent memory is that sisters made the trek to newport to celebrate the gold with me.
